This is me. Hi!

Hi girls! (I'm under the impression that we are all females. Please correct me if I'm wrong.) I'm your new Tuesday. This is cool. I've never become part of an already formed collab. I feel privileged. Now, I know it isn't Tuesday, but I'm only a day late, I only found out yesterday, and I thought I'd get the intro out of the way so that next week can be my first proper post.

 As most 'this is me' posts I make devolve into a list of random facts about myself, I think I'll just give up and make this one officially a list. Be warned, it may be a tad on the lengthy side.

1. My name is Sarah, but I'm trying to get people to call me Watson because it's a lot nerdycooler.
2. I was born and raised in Southern California, but I spent three years of my life in London, from age 10-13.
3. I'll be 19 in less than a month, and I'm finishing up my second year of University.
4. I am an electrical engineering major, with a minor in music. I am a science and math nerd, and I've been playing the piano since I was four. I also like ASL.
5. I found the vlogbrothers/nerdfighteria/thelargerworldoftheinternet approximately a year ago. I was an extremely sheltered child.
6. I LOVE reading, and I used to gobble down a dozen books in a week or less, but since I've gotten to college, that's dramatically decreased. First, there's no good libraries within bus distance, and second, I've discovered there are so many more ways to procrastinate.
7. My favorite tv show is Doctor Who. I love to fangirl over it. Like, a lot. If you've never watched it, I have some very helpful* websites. If you don't like it, I won't hate you, I'll just forever be confused about that part of our relationship.
8. I also like Sherlock, Supernatural, Merlin, Burn Notice, White Collar, Big Bang Theory, Bones, Chuck, and several others.
9. I was never allowed to read Harry Potter when I was young. I am now rectifying that - on the fourth one currently.
10. My music tastes are also similarly affected by my sheltered upbringing, but so far the only genre I really don't like is stuff on the heavy metal side. I listen to MiLo, ALL CAPS, Hank Green, and Chameleon Circuit.
11. I like and play a lot of video games, just not obsessively. Also, I don't have any kind of console here in college.
12. I'm not girly - I don't care that much about clothes, jewelry, gossip, shoes, makeup, etc. I do, however, like to embroider, knit, and do other crafts.
13. I am a LOT more shy and socially awkward than this post suggests. That's kinda why I'm trying to get connected with nerdfighteria in as many ways as possible.

*read - not so legal :)

I'm not sure if you had a specific goal for this blog or a weekly theme or anything - haven't yet had time to read through all the posts. Let me know if I should be blogging about anything specific. That being said, I'm really looking forward to this blog and getting to know you all!
