Alright, so I got back from a lovely weekend (given the weekend started Thursday) in the country. I went on Thursday to my father's summer house in the country. I went alone and then my dad and his girlfriend came to see me on Friday (yesterday). I did a lot of studying, it was nice going out of the city to have some time off. Past 6 weeks have been hard, I have finished 10 exams and this is exactly what I needed. I was just there, blasting music, reading English poetry and short stories, taking walks, giving the horses candies (and discovering I have slight horse-allergy, not much though) and totally ignoring the dead bird in the front yard, I didn't know what to do so I went all "daaaddyy, see, the bird! :(" when he came. We watched concert on the TV, showing the opening of a new musical-conference-thingie house in Iceland. Also spent a few hours drawing, haven't done that in a while.
Exams still and I'm going strong. Can't wait for 27 may, that's the day I'll graduate and finally, freedom. The freedom kickstarts on may 24th though, when I finish my last exam, oral Icelandic, dundundun!! Then it's just funfunfun, I've already been invited for a party every weekend in June and the last in May, which is awesome. My 20th birthday will be on June 7th, so Sarah, don't forget to wish me happy birthday in your Tuesday blog! I'm going to rent a bar to celebrate and invite al my friends and buy lots of beer for the guests. You guys are invited, if you're willing to travel to Iceland by that time or if you happen to be here (HAH! It would be kinda cool though).
Listening to The Strokes's new album, Angles, and waiting for dinner. I recommend it, The Strokes that is, not waiting for dinner. Home-made pizza, nom, so hungry. I have boy problems, or you know, just problems in general.
Damn you, Americans, I can't talk to you about Eurovision! It's Eurovision, it's a song contest and each country has its representative (fu, this computer doesn't put red lines under wrong-spelt words, so sorry if I write something weird that doesn't make sense/words that don't exist). It is a lot of fun and a lot of really really bad songs, fashion from 1997 (some countries are just way behind), bad hair (honestly, the 80's called and wants its hair back) and beer, lots of beer. No beer for me though, because I have to study (/annoyed). It's the mood that's good, the music is usually terrible.
Karena, I see. Wish I could have Sambuca with you!
Sarah, the ocean for the first time :O? What took you so long, girl.
Stephanie, I agree with doing it the first week of June, next week I'll be extremely busy studying for a exam I have barely any time to study for so it wouldn't turn out good and the week after that I'M GRADUATING COLLEGE! Can't wait to put that damn hat on.
Marwa, I definitely agree with you. I think we should try to get each other better. :)
Putting new drawings on facebook.com/aldaart (and tumblr) on Monday. Btw, feel free to add me on facebook if you want to, it's facebook.com/aldalilja, I won't bite.

And don't forget to smile! C:
we totally talked about eurovision in german class in high school. that year the german contestant was a guy who sang a song called "miss kiss kiss bang." only no one really paid attention to the song, cuz we were too busy staring at the singer's sparkly silver tights. they were really very distracting lol.
ReplyDeleteHAHA! Nice!
