It's Friday I'm in love.

Hello people. My name is Alda and this is my first blog on this site. Alda means ocean wave in Icelandic and my middle name, Lilja, means Lily, like the flower. I come from the future, so I might post on other hours than you guys! And by "the future" I mean, of course, Iceland, because I live somewhere in the Atlantic ocean on an deserted island. The land of sudden weather change and where the devil is supposed to live.

Anyways, how's life? Mine is good, I'm currently studying in college and finishing this spring. I study classics/languages and my main focus is on Latin, Icelandic and English. I also study Spanish and German and I finished Danish, so please, pick your language, I speak them all (kidding). When I finish college I will be traveling Europe, that is, if I get a job. I'm going with 4 of my friends and we are starting in Amsterdam going all way down to either Italy or Spain, wether is better. Can't wait! 

My interests are mostly art and music. I like drawing and painting, I have a page for my art if anyone's interested, it's on facebook and I post one drawing for each day, it's facebook.com/aldaart and then I have a tumblr where I post some of my recent work. Obviously languages are a big part of my life and I love learning about culture and most of all, experience it by traveling. I want to travel everywhere, with Middle-Europe next year and probably South America the year after that I really want to go to India or Mexico to volunteer, helping kids or animals. I was going to go this year but I don't have enough money.

This week was good, I got my tattoo fixed and it looks all pretty now. I also got my favorite tattooist to touch my back and say "hey, that's a cool tattoo... who did it?" and I was kind of startstruck for a moment there. I also drew a photo (by request) of a angry, purple, octopus, I think he looks quite good. 

This weekend I'm going to a birthday party, actually a double-birthday-party, with two of my friends turning 20 so it's kind of a big thing. Which do you guys celebrate more, 20 or 21?
