Harry Potter Week!!!!

Hello everyone, happy Harry Potter week to you all! Oh, is that just at my school? Either way, it’s a nerdily auspicious week during which to start the blog, don’t you think? In any case, I feel that introductions are in order before we move onto the actual blogging. I apologize in advance for my general lack of writing skills.

I’m Marwa. I’m an 18 year old college sophomore in the United States who is studying Political Science and Pre-med. I was born here in the US, but most of my family is in Egypt, where my parents were born. My hobbies include reading, watching vlogbrothers videos, playing video games, magic the gathering, and generally nerding out. (I must say, writing this while watching Harry Potter makes this experience all the better. So as you read, I want you to imagine that you hear Tom Riddle and Harry Potter discussing Ginny’s imminent death in the background).

Anyway, I also do some various martial arts and am a girl scouts troop leader (don’t even ask about that last one, I’m not sure how that happened either). I have 2 brothers (7 and 20 years old) and a sister (13 years old) and share a house with my older brother on the campus of my college.

In the future, I’ll probably talk a lot about general day to day stuff, as well as books, and may occasionally veer into politics, but I’ll try to keep that to a bare minimum.

I am, of course, looking forward to Reilly’s post tomorrow, and will be writing again soon. Hope your week is full of Harry Potter and other forms of joy. HAPPY HARRY POTTER WEEK!!!

Oh, and in case anyone was wondering about the interim title, it just refers to another idea for a title that I said made me want to poke my eyes out. Rest assured, my eyes thus far are ungouged.
